It was a beautiful warm summer-like day on my dad's birthday. I wrote him a card including a recent quote I had written, 'The more beauty one creates the more beautiful the world becomes'. I was aware that when we help the people in our lives become more beautiful we are well on our way to creating a more beautiful world. Everyone deserves the opportunity to express and share their gifts with the world.
The picture above was taken on the Oblong River which runs into Moose Lake. On the shores of Moose Lake is the most beautiful summer camp you could imagine ~ Camp Northland B'nai Brith. It was on those shores my dad and mom met each other many years ago when they were 'just at the beginning' in so many ways. There she was, clip board in hand, angel lights all around her ~ Gloria on staff at summer camp...
I had taken this photo from the camp shores when back for an alumni weekend...
I suggested that we have dinner later ~ on the back patio. Half way through our meal, a friend stopped by appearing in the back yard. She stayed for some time. It's amazing the power of even a short visit.
